Golden Green Makeup Tutorial

BH Cosmetics is a makeup company that sells all types of makeup palettes, brushes, sets, & more. They have a great variety of makeup but they are mostly geared towards MUA (makeup artist) an their goal of building their collection. Even though an everyday women is not their target consumer, they still have a lot of great items.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered the Day & Night Palette and I find myself reaching for it a lot to find the perfect color that I think may be missing for a different look. So I decided I would do an entire look with this palette.

I love the range of colors and the color payoff of the shadows.  This a great palette if you just want a wide range of colors without any particular theme. It can help you create many looks as well as finish off a look that may be missing something.

I hope you enjoy this video and let me know if you have products from BH Cosmetics.

As always, thank you for watching & reading.

'No Makeup' Makeup Look [VIDEO]

This type of makeup look is very popular right now, 'No Makeup' makeup look.
A simple look that is made to be minimal and beauty enhancing.
To add a little twist to mine, I go with a bold lip but you can stick to a nude or your favorite at the moment.
Hope you enjoy this video and let me know how you do your 'no makeup' look.

For Transitioners & No BC: The KG Lifestyle

Due to my YouTube addiction, I have stumbled upon some great natural hair, beauty, makeup & fashion channels that are packed with loads of tips and information.
Sometimes tho, when your looking for something specific, it can be hard to shuffle through all of those channels you get when you search. Or you just don't have the time [patience] to find what you need.

So I thought I would lend you a hand and give you specific channels and people that have great tips. Of course they will will be geared toward a certain group or topic but I know there is someone out there looking for a good makeup product for oily skin. Or a hair product for thin hair. Or how about something for my kinky girls?
I hope to cover a wide range and any topic I can think of. But if you have any request or suggestions, just let me know in the comments below.

This one is for the women who want to transition to natural hair and the BIG CHOP is just not for them.
The KG Lifestyle is the perfect channel [and blog] for you.
Kala transitioned from heat damaged hair for two years all while keeping her hair between shoulder length and collar bone length.

She has a wide range of videos. From tips for transitioners...

Also why big chopping wasn't for her...

In addition to styles for blending two textures (natural & damaged)...

And she also speaks on her struggles...

Check her out if your going through the same thing or are thinking about going natural without chopping.

Hope you enjoy this new segment on my blog.

DIY: Z Palette for Makeup

Have you heard of the Z-Palette? It is a convenient way combine your singe eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers into one palette. Not only does it decrease clutter, it also helps you utilize all your makeup more by consolidating your palettes & colors.

A standard Z-palette can range from $15-$25. I created two custom palettes for under $7.
See pictures below of how I did it using DVD cases.

materials needed

Place cardboard beneath and use box cutter to removes DVD holder

Also remove side clips

Cover outside of DVD case with printed duct tape

Add magnetic sheet or not, totally optional, to mount eyeshadow pans. You can also glue them down.

To remove pans from containers, heat in oven 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes. This will melt the glue & plastic to remove pan

End result

Arrange however you like.

Now I can see all my Wet n Wild shadows at once and create more looks as well! Let me know if you give this a try.

My Current Obsessions [December 2013]

This is the last favorites of 2013. I decided not to do a year recap just because I didn't try a lot of new items until a couple of months ago.

Shop My Closet [Poshmark Closet]

With a shopping addiction comes closet overflow. I quickly run out a space, which leads to wearing an item once and then forgetting its there.
Next thing you know it is a year later and you have already replaced the item with another that is a favorite.
In my case, this leaves me with bags of shoes, handbags, & blouses that I love but no longer where or use.
To make my investment go a bit further and in the long run, help expand my brand, I have decided to open a Poshmark Closet.

I have currently listed some boots as well as some classic handbags!
Check them out and feel free to purchase! The proceeds I plan to continue to expand my blog & youtube channel, and ultimately my brand.

More to come!
And let me know if your looking for something specifically, I may have something similar.
As always, thank you for reading.
