HAUL: Nail Polish

Lets HAUL it in!

I'm going on vacation tonight (and going to be vlogging so stay tuned for that) so last night I did some last minute shopping. Of course I had to stroll down the beauty isle. I didn't need any thing makeup related, but that dint stop me from looking. LoL! One thing i wanted was the nude lipstick from L'Oreal, the J.Lo one. But they were all out at Walmart and CVS was $10! $4 more than the Mart. Luckly, I got some CVS bucks after my purchase, so I can go back to get it.
Anyway, on to what I did haul.
Two Milani Nail polishes. Bombshell (the pink) and Imperial Purple.
Next two, Salon Perfect Nail Art stripers. Silver and white. I just need to practice....a lot.
Lastly two Julie G polishes, 9 to 5 and Shoe-a-holic. The 9 to 5 is a popular color of hers and it is not what I expected from hearing about it. It has an underlying pink color, interested to see how it looks on my nails.

That is all, hope you enjoyed this haul! And there will be some more mani's and nail art soon to come.
As always, thanks for reading!

Shop My Closet [Poshmark Closet]

With a shopping addiction comes closet overflow. I quickly run out a space, which leads to wearing an item once and then forgetting its there.
Next thing you know it is a year later and you have already replaced the item with another that is a favorite.
In my case, this leaves me with bags of shoes, handbags, & blouses that I love but no longer where or use.
To make my investment go a bit further and in the long run, help expand my brand, I have decided to open a Poshmark Closet.

I have currently listed some boots as well as some classic handbags!
Check them out and feel free to purchase! The proceeds I plan to continue to expand my blog & youtube channel, and ultimately my brand.

More to come!
And let me know if your looking for something specifically, I may have something similar.
As always, thank you for reading.

My Own Personal Nail Salon (Haul)

When I was younger, I use to paint my nails every weekend. I wasn't great at it and often got frustrated with my rough looking manicure. But I was faithful about it!
I loved new colors. Straight nails. Fresh looks.
Of course, as I got older, I started going to the nail salon with my mom and getting tips.
From then on [high school through college] I was obsessed and slightly hooked to acrylic nails and designs.
I fell off a little after college, but after my first child I just right back on the wagon.
I would get them done whenever I had the time and the money.

And then...I started this natural hair journey...

I don't know what it is about healthy natural hair but it makes you want to be NATURAL and HEALTHY all over!
Not just your hair!
At least that is the effect it is having on me...

Wednesday I named my nail day!
I had to go to Walmart anyway for some baby stuff, so of course pick up some things for my mani.
And then for some reason when I got back to work, I realized I needed more, smh...this promoted a stop at Rite Aid on the way home as well.
So here is what I ended up with...

SN: Always grab some bobby pins, they like to disappear, smh.
Not too much...and that is mostly because I have done this before [decided to go all natural with my nails only to relapse in a week and go get a full set, tragic]. Therefore I already had a lot of what I needed.

Of course I had to get some more nail files and tools [like bobby pins, files walk].

Also some colors. The brand is Ice, the yellow is called 'Excuse Me' and the white is 'Superstar'.

Now the top coats by Kiss. This was one of my favorite purchases. These top coats not only protect but also change the finish of the polish. There is a high gloss, a shimmer, and a matte. Can't wait to try the matte.

Lastly is the 'Dry & Go Drops'. LOVE! The worst part of the manicure is waiting for your polish to dry, ugh! Yes, I am impatient...but also, I have two children! Sometimes I don't have 15 minutes to wait for my nails to be 100% dry. Now this liquid doesn't dry them 100% but it does like 80%. It drys the surface and prevents the dings and the imprints. But you can still tell the the polish under the top coat could still use some time. Still saved me 10 min; I just turn on the fan, put my hands in front for 5 minutes and DONE!

This is the manicure I did last night. Isn't it cute! And definitely fresh, love that. Looks salon professional! My mom even asked me this morning, 'When did you go get your nails done?' HA! Fooled the beautician.

I also found a great YouTube vlogger that gave some great tips! Check her out: A Love Tart: Beauty Blogger. This gave me great success compared to last time I tried my own manicure [epic fail]. Now I feel like I can do my nails anytime! I am so excited to try some new colors and watch my nails grow...YAY!

New addiction...just maybe...

Random: My love for SHOES!

I will fully admit I have a shoe addition...or fetish.
I love a cute part of shoes!
I will stop a stranger on the street to tell them how bad their shoes are and ask them where they purchased them from. I need to know!
Love a cute pair of heels.
Or some comfy looking flats.
Or a high wedge.
Hmm...I'm getting excited just blogging about them! LoL!

Anyway, because of my shoe addiction, I have to keep myself on a budget. One, maybe two (if there is a sale) pairs of shoes a month. I have to already have an outfit to wear with them, I don't like buying shoes and then having to find an outfit. I also limit the amount of money I spend on that said pair of shoes.
Yea, I have to make rules for myself. Sad.

So while pinning some of my favs to my "Love. Those. SHOES!" board on my pinterest, I thought why not make it easier to keep my rules and join JustFab?!
If you don't know, JustFab is a website that sells shoes as well as handbags, jeans, jewelry, and dresses.  However, to purchase you must be a member. When you first sign up, you fill in a questionnaire and their stylist (computer, lol) figures out your style. Each month your get a list of shoes that fit your style. Same with the handbags. And there are also deals and specials throughout the month.
Oh yea, sounds like I'm in!
WARNING: This may possibility be an excuse to buy shoes consistently and monthly...maybe.
I have already decided on my first pair of shoes...
These shoes...give me life...so serious. Ugh! Yup...I'm in.
Now what can I wear these with? Hmm...any suggestions?

Shopping: Beauty Haul

Hey dolls!

So my new haircut induced a mini shopping spree, lol. I mean, come on! I needed some hair accessories to accent my stellar cut, right! Plus, now that my hair is 100% natural and healthy, I also need some new hair products to try out and better my relationship with me and my hair.
Yes, this is how my brain works, lol.
So on the way home from my hair appointment, I made two stops; Sally's Beauty Supply and Claire's!

This is what I copped from Sally's...

As always, when I shop, I go for the sales first. Especially with my natural hair products. Since I am just starting my journey, I am trying a lot of different things and products so I can see what my hair likes the best. But of course, I don't want to break the bank so I gave myself some rules.

  1. I cannot buy a new product until I have used all or the majority of the previous product.  This saves me money because I am only buy new product every month to month and a half.
  2. If there is a sample for the product I want to buy, try the sample first.  Samples are usually $0.90 to $5.00. Huge savings when the original price of the product is over $15.
  3. Try to buy product that is on sale.  This will still let me have variety seeing as different products go on sale at different times.
So far, I have been doing a great keeping my rules...but it's only been a month, lol. We shall see.
Anyway, the Naturally Silk Elements products were on sale 2 for $12. Great sale, originally $8.99 or $9.99.
I purchased:
I have like to purchase my products with in the same line because I think the creator intends them to go together. So for me to really test out how well they work, I need to test them together.
I also purchased Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel. It wasn't on sale, however, it was only $6 and I REALLY wanted it, lol.
After I have used each product for a month, I will probably do a review. Be watching my natural hair blog for that.

This is what I got from Claire's...

OMG...I love Claire's...and for so many reasons! They always have sales on their earrings. Which, for a person with 9 holes in their ears, that is amazing. Plus they have something for everyone! Edgy, chic, classy, sassy. Whatever your style, you can find something at Claire's.
So of course I got some earrings. I can't wait to wear those peacock ones! And that red bow, yes. My favorite is, of course the pink bow. Yes, it is obnoxiously big but it is so me! I will post the pics when I wear these gorgeous accessories, just check back or follow me on instagram.
The sales at Claire's was irresistible  All hair accessories were 'Buy One Get One 50% off'.  The earrings were 'Buy Two and Get One Free'. This assisted my spree, lol.

All in all, a great random shopping trip.  I currently have a goal to update my style and to fit it more to my personality, become a true fashionista! Check back for more hauls!
